Members from more than 50 countries share and leverage each other’s expertise in business matters, family leadership and citizenship. Members are custodians of their enterprises, their legacies and their communities. The circle grows slowly and carefully only as members nominate peer family enterprises into the forum.
Owners Forums facilitate the personal exchange of ideas and are limited to 100 member families and guests with a strict, no-media policy. Forums encourage international cooperation and foster an open atmosphere for sharing thoughts and experiences. The format includes keynotes, workshops, roundtables, cultural reconnaissance, privately hosted dinners and time set aside for private talks.
Owners Forum Dinners are shared evenings among a small group of members and guests to establish new relations, connect around culture and exchange ideas in an informal social setting. The unique experience of each dinner rests in the host’s authentic local roots, their personal links within their community and their family’s stories anchored in the venues and told over generations.
Recurring digital sessions complement physical forums. Digital sessions feature conversations with thought leaders, interactive peer dialogues, member-moderated roundtables and interactive livestreams of entire Owners Forums, allowing members to join remotely and exchange directly with other members and speakers via encrypted video technology.
Global Councils consist of up to seven Owners Forum members from different regions. Digital meetings are held regularly over the course of one year to exchange thoughts and collaborate across borders. A council chair defines the common topic in an industry, family leadership or citizenship and each council is composed to leverage members’ insights, experiences and resources.
The Young Owners Forum
The Young Owners Forum is a development programme organized exclusively for younger family members as they navigate their way toward deeper participation in the family enterprise. To foster meaningful relationships among a new generation of leaders it is designed for family members below the age of 35. The programme is based on peer-to-peer exchange of experience and knowledge through highly interactive formats.
